In the world of artificial intelligence, a question lingers: Can these digital minds, trained on a vast library of human knowledge, truly be creative? As someone fascinated by the potential of AI, I dove into this question, testing several LLMs— Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini— with a simple prompt: Can you be creative and generate original business ideas?

Their answers, a chorus of digital voices, were both fascinating and unexpected. And all said YES unequivocally.

What is Creativity, Anyway?

Turns out, even AI struggles to define this elusive concept. Some, like the eloquent Claude, described it as:

“ the ability to generate novel and valuable ideas. Others, like the methodical ChatGPT, emphasized originality and usefulness.

But what truly makes an idea “creative”? Is it the spark of originality? The practical value? The ability to connect disparate concepts in a surprising way? These AI models, it seemed, were wrestling with the same questions that have puzzled philosophers and artists for centuries.
